Basic cloud computing applications has been around for quite some time with popular webmail apps such as Hotmail. The complexity increased with contact and sales management CRM software migrating to the web with Salesforce being the dominant pioneer. Since these two cloud apps have been around for at least 10 years, the web and people’s comfort it has matured enough that you see a lot more people using cloud computing applications. The question is not “should I go to the cloud?” is more like “how far do I go?” We have no crystal ball but NetworkAntics sees a future that is now of a hybrid environment of very computer intensive applications still residing locally to their computer but as bandwidth and programming improves, more and more applications and servers will be hosted via the web.
